Public Notice:
Pursuant to requirements of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 (47 USC 214), the Kaplan Telephone Company d/b/a Pace Communications of Vermilion gives notice that it provides the core services required for federal universal service support. Such services are as follows:
(1) voice grade access to the public switched network
(2) local usage
(3) DTMF signaling or its functional equivalent
(4) Single party service
(5) Access to emergency services
(6) Access to operator services
(7) Access to interexchange service

PUBLIC NOTICE
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Gueydan met in Regular Session, February 2, 2010 and gave preliminary approval for the adoption of the following ordinance:
ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18, ANIMALS
ARTICLE III, DOGS AND CATS, OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF GUEYDAN BY ADDING
SEC. 18-59 ENTITLED “NUMERICAL LIMITATIONS”.

A copy of the aforementioned Ordinance may be obtained from the office of the Mayor, Town of Gueydan, 600 Main St., Gueydan, La., upon request.

The Town of Gueydan announces that an application for FY 2010-2011 Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) funds will be submitted for the following:

ACTIVITY: Street Improvements
OBJECTIVE: Principal benefit to low-to-moderate income persons
LOCATION: The target areas are located in the northwestern and eastern parts of the Town
AMOUNT: LCDBG Street Improvements - $515,000.00
Town Street Improvements - $205,000.00
