ABBEVILLE — Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Lori Rigsby Macaluso, 50, passed away on February 20,2024 due to complications from surgery. Her final moments were spent peacefully at her home in Abbeville, La, surrounded by her fur babies, Siren and Babygirl. Deacon William Vincent will officiate the service.
Lori Camille Rigsby was the daughter of Sybil Hemelt Rigsby of New Orleans, Louisiana and the late Tommy Ansel Rigsby Sr. of Roswell, New Mexico. She was born in New Orleans, La on March 24,1973. She attended Abramsom High School in New Orleans, La. From there she pursued a career as a Veterinary Technician and a mom. Lori enjoyed crafting and watching Little House on the Prairie. She took pride in being a MeMaw. The light of her existence was spending time with her grand babies.
Known for her loud and vibrant personality and unique tattoos, Lori will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her great humor and generous spirit touched everyone she met. Lori never let life’s challenges hold her back as she was always down for the ride.
Lori’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
Lori is survived by her mother, Sybil Hemelt Rigsby; brother, Tommy Ansel Rigsby, Jr.; sister-in-law, Patricia Rigsby; sister, Shannon Rigsby Broussard; daughters, Ashley Marie Landry and Gabriella Camille Mixon; adopted daughter, Carrie Page Kinler; sons, Jimmy Hezkiha Mixon, III and Houston Ansel Mixon; daughter-in-law, Breanna Mixon; niece, Emmy Rigsby; nephews, Zachary and Anthony Broussard; and grandchildren, Ashlynn, Britlynn, Colston “BooBoo” Landry and Charles LeBlanc. She is also survived by her fur babies, Siren and BabyGirl; and her grand pups, Thor, Chewy and Balou.
Lori Rigsby Macaluso is preceded in death by her father, Tommy Ansel Rigsby, Sr.; late husbands, Jimmy Mixon Jr., Robert Lloyd Bowers, Sr. and Frank Norwood Macaluso; and son, Antonio Mixon.
Family and friends are invited to say their last goodbye to Lori at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of services. Lori will be cremated per her wishes following her service.
