Kaplan gets fourth victory with win over Beau Chene

The Kaplan Pirates got a road win on Friday, crushing Beau Chene 34-0.
The Pirates improve to 4-1 on the year and will be home Friday to battle Crowley for a district opener.
Kaplan’s offense did what it wanted against Beau Chene, while the Pirate defense shut down Beau Chene’s offense.
Beau Chene was held to zero points and only 20 yards of offense.
The Pirates scored eight points in the first period and led only 13-0 at halftime.
Daylon Landry, who rushed for 168 yards on 16 carries, scored his first TD of the night on a three-yard run with 5:02 to play in the first period.
The Pirates added another score two minutes into the second quarter. Wyatt Hebert scored from the 2 and the Pirates went into halftime, leading 13-0.
Kaplan put the game away in the third frame when it scored 13 points.
Landry had a 2-yard run, and then quarterback Sabe David connected with Andre Marceaux for a 73-yard touchdown reception.
Gannon Smith nailed the extra point that gave KHS a 27-0 lead after three quarters.
The Pirates added a late TD when Bradyn Bearb scored on a 14-yard run.
Kaplan finished with 444 yards of total offense. They rushed for 316 yards and passed for 128 yards.
Hebert had 12 carries for 54 yards and a score. Dane Frick had five carries for 37 yards. Bradyn Bearb had eight totes for 43 yards.
David had a career night passing. He completed six out of eight passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. It is the second week in a row, David has thrown for more than 100 yards.
Daylon Landry had three catches for 24 yards. Marceaux (1-73-1 TD), Bearb (1-30) and Frick (1-1) had the other catches.
