15th Judicial District releases June convictions

During the month of June, 2018 the following defendants were convicted or pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 15th Judicial District Court, Parishes of Lafayette and Vermilion:

VERMILION PARISH

1. Brian Duhon, Monetary Instrument Abuse, 2 years hard labor, suspended, 2 years supervised probation
2. Chaquam Williams, Illegal Use of Weapons, 2 years hard labor, suspended, 3 years supervised probation
3. Edward Perkins, Theft, Bank Fraud, Simple Burglary, Forgery, 6 years hard labor suspended, 3 years supervised probation
4. Nicole Abshire, Simple Burglary, 3 years hard labor, suspended, 3 years supervised probation
5. Ren-drick Nunez, Aggravated Flight from an Officer, 3 years hard labor
6. Koby Albanese, Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, 5 years hard labor
7. Phillip Meaux, Unauthorized Entry into an Inhabited Dwelling, 5 years hard labor
8. Brooke Derouen, Looting, 5 years hard labor, suspended, 3 years supervised probation
9. Christopher Alexander, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, 5 years hard labor

LAFAYETTE PARISH

1. Larry Cannon, Simple Burglary, 10 years hard labor
2. Ron Johnson, Monetary Instrument Abuse, 3 years hard labor
3. William Jarrell, Simple Burglary, 3 years hard labor, suspended, 3 years supervised probation
4. Jacqueline Smith, Theft, 3 years hard labor suspended, 3 years supervised probation
5. James Irion, Theft over $5,000 Less $25,000, 5 years hard labor, 3 years supervised probation
6. Kardelis Joseph, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, 3 years hard labor, 5 years supervised probation
7. Reid A. Thibodeaux, 3 counts of forgery, 4 ½ years hard labor on each count
8. Mark Cyprien, Failure to Notify as Sex Offender, 2 years hard labor
9. Doris Lege, 2 counts Simple Burglary, 6 years hard labor on each count, 3 years supervised probation
10. Joshua Babineaux, Simple Burglary, 5 ½ years hard labor
