Neil Arsement announces Maurice Chief of Police candidacy

It is with great honor that I announce my candidacy for the office of Chief of Police for the City of Maurice in the November 2018 election. My wife, Kathryn, and I have been married for three years, and have three sons Gage (18), Hudson (2) and Hayes (6 months). I was born and raised in Rayne, Louisiana and have lived in Maurice for the last 12 years. I consider Maurice my home and plan to spend the rest of my life here.
As a reserve officer for the Rayne Police Department, I gained valuable firsthand police experience. I understand the dangers and hardships police officers face, and the importance of taking the oath to protect and serve. I know that the safety of Maurice comes first. I offer you my experience and skills to lead your police department to meet the challenging demands and dangers we all face together in today’s ever-changing world.
Owning several successful businesses over many years taught me valuable administrative and management skills. I understand business owners’ concerns to protect their investments and livelihoods. I will apply my administrative skills toward managing your police department efficiently.
I am the ONLY candidate who lives in the village of Maurice and, like you, invests in this community. With both police experience and a proven record of business success, I offer the best combination to meet the law enforcement challenges ahead. I will be a Police Chief who is competent, capable and effective, and also one who is easy to reach and easy to talk to. As your neighbor, I will strive to make you proud to call me your Police Chief.
