ERATH — A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mary Jo DuBois Thibeaux, 67, will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Fr. Nicolas DuPre officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. With a recitation of the rosary at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 8 a.m. until time of services.
A native of Erath, Mrs. Mary passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and fishing. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Thibeaux, Sr. of Erath; her sons, Michael Thibeaux, Jr. of Erath, and Edward Thibeaux of Erath; her daughters, Natasha Lynn Naquin and her husband Rocky of Kaplan, and Michell Lee Dartez and her husband Johnathon of Erath; her grandchildren, Carl Dartez, Cynthia Dartez, Colin Faulk, Kylie Chandler, Kelsey Faulk, Lexi Tiefenauer, and many more; her brother, Charlie DuBois of Erath; and her uncle, Donald Mergist and his wife Enola of Abbeville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward DuBois and Wanda Mergist DuBois Melebeck; her stepfather, Leroy Melebeck; her brother, Edward “Bubba” DuBois, Jr. ;and her grandchild, Baylee Simoneaux.
