Ronald Dale Guidry

Ronald Dale Guidry, affectionately known as "Dale," passed away on August 25th, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on December 3, 1943, in Kaplan, Louisiana, Dale was a proud and devoted member of the United States Marine Corps, serving his country with honor.
A man of deep faith, Dale lived a holy life through his commitment to the Catholic Church. His dedication extended to his active participation in the ” Third Order” Lay Carmelites, where he found spiritual fulfillment and community. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata, La.
Dale was a true Cajun at heart, with a love for zydeco music and dancing that brought joy to all who knew him. Dale was loved by all that met him and made friends instantly wherever he went.
In his early years, Dale worked as a machinist, a craft he took great pride in. However, it was in his later years that he truly found his calling, dedicating himself entirely to his Catholic faith and the service of God.
Dale was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Paul Otis and Majorie Mary “Margie” Guidry, and his dear son, Job Guidry. Brothers and sisters are Judy Gary, Danny Guidry, Katie Guidry, and Malcolm “Buddy” Guidry. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in his five children: Chris Guidry, Marty Guidry, Zeke Guidry, and Elizabeth Therese "Tia" Guidry. Dale was grandfather to his seven grandchildren: Christian, Katie, Mason, Myles, Alex, Braden, and Braxen.
Dale will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love of family, and his joy for life. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
May he rest in peace in the arms of the Lord.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on September 14 at St Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata, La.
