Mary Lee Abshire

KAPLAN — A Funeral Service officiated by Deacon Bryan Istre was held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 14, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan honoring the life of Mary Lee Abshire, 96, who passed away on October 4, 2024 at The Carpenter House. Burial followed at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
A visitation took place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continued Monday from 8 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. A rosary was prayed at 7:00 PM on Sunday.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Burke of Montgomery, TX, Dianna "Dee" Wright of Conroe, TX and Candace Abshire of Houston, TX; one sister, Deloria Abshire of Lafayette; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Abshire; one granddaughter, Katherine Wright; one great granddaughter, Caitlin Taylor; one brother, Roy Bertrand; and her parents, Willis Bertrand and the former Mayola Baker.
