Doris Mae Meaux Dore’ born on May 1, 1929 to the late Aldes Joseph Meaux and Anita Prejean Meaux in Lafayette, LA. She passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, surrounded by her precious family. She was prepared to meet Jesus, receiving her last sacraments from Fr. Buddy.
Doris then moved with her family to Abbeville and Bayou Tigre. Her father was a barber, and her mother a homemaker who ironed for pay.

Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Francis Cao officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 9 a.m. until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 10:30 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Marion Joseph Bessard, Sr., 93, will beheld at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church with Fr. Francois Sainte- Marie officiating. Interment will follow St. Paul Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Saturday, July 13, 2024 beginning at 8 a.m. until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 9 a.m.
