Ricky Dale Touchet

February 1, 1960 ~ October 19, 2019

ABBEVILLE — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2019 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Ricky Dale Touchet, son of the late Wilson Joseph Touchet and Susan Hazel Schexsnider Touchet, who passed away at the age of 59 at his childhood home in Abbeville, LA. surrounded by family. He will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Father Donald Bernard officiating the services. Pallbearers include James Broussard, Trevor Touchet, Coby Sonnier, Sean Pizzolato, Cassie Gresham and Alvin Romero. Honorary pallbearers include Shelby Lynn Touchet, Summer Victoria Sonnier and Tess Alexis Touchet.
Ricky was born on February 1, 1960 in Abbeville, LA. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School. Ricky joined the Marriott Family 32 years ago and during his successful career held many positions to include Assistant Banquet Maitre D, Event Manager, Catering Manager, F&B Manager, Assistant General Manager, and EBC Sales Manager. Ricky joined Western Mountain Pacific Sales in 2009 as a Sales Manager. The Marriott Family are grateful for the time they have had with Ricky in their organization and the contributions he made. Ricky’s Marriott Family was a big part of his life and will be missed by them all. Even though Ricky did not have any children of his own, he did have his beloved fur babies, Jake and Ziggy, his spoiled Alaskan Malamutes, and Toby and Piper, his sassy felines. Ricky enjoyed his hikes with Jake and Ziggy and meeting up with friends at the dog park for a furry play date. Ricky had a very contagious laugh and a smile that would light up any room he walked into. He made friends everywhere he went and never met a stranger. He will be missed by so many and was loved by everyone.
Ricky Dale Touchet is survived by his loving brother, Terry Lane Touchet, Sr; godchild, Jamie Touchet Pizzolato; nieces, Marsha Touchet, Michelle Touchet Romero and Sheena Touchet and Blair Breaux; nephews, Travis Touchet, Trevor Touchet and Craig Touchet; and Ricky’s ex-wife and lifelong friend, Tisa Stelly Senegal; along with many great nieces and nephews.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Susan; his brothers, Robert Touchet, Billy Touchet and Kenneth Touchet; and his beloved nephew, Terry “TJ” Lane Touchet, Jr.

Lona Mae Broussard

March 12, 1928 ~ October 21, 2019

ABBEVILLE — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Lona Mae Broussard, 91, who died Monday, October 21, 2019 at Eastridge Nursing Center. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Father Donald Bernard officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Christopher Broussard, Dustin Broussard, Timothy Lisk, Tyler Burgess, Michael Gautreaux, Mitch Falgout, Johnathan Hebert, Dane LeBlanc, and Brandon Gilbert. Readers for the Mass will be Nicole Lisk and Gabrielle Broussard and the gift bearers will be the great grandkids.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lisk of Tulsa, OK and her children, Nicole, Timothy and Natile; her son, Sans Charles Broussard and wife, Linda Hulin Broussard of Maurice and their children, Dawn, Dana, Virginia and Erin, her son, Daniel John Broussard, Jr of Maurice and his children, Jessica, Chris and Dusty, and her son, Patrick Dominic Broussard and wife, Teresa Lee Broussard of Frisco, TX and his child, Gabrielle; and 17 great grandchildren; Lona is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Bernice Landry, Melise Broussard and Velta Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Broussard; parents, Albert Broussard and the former Edna Clark; half-brothers, Mayo, Walter, and Isaac; and half-sisters, Eunice, Adlie, Rhea, and Elina.

St. Charles St., on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 8:00 AM until 11:15 AM when the procession will depart for the church.

Judy Lynn Bellard

December 19, 1955 ~ October 21, 2019

KAPLAN — Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Judy Lynn Bellard, 63, who died Monday, October 21, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.
Mrs. Bellard was a Betty Boop lover along with a fondness of cats and her love for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Nathan Bellard of Kaplan; her two sons, Jonathan Breaux and his wife, Staci of Church Point and Travis Breaux and his wife, Keri of Morse; her mother, Margaret Harrington Kritzer of Kaplan; her grandchildren, Braxton, Lane, Matthew, and Ellorie Breaux; her brother, Rudy James Bourque of Kaplan; her sister, Cindy Bourque Naquin and her husband, Rayford of Kaplan; her sister-in-law, Rita Bellard Pafford and her husband, Ray of Texas; her stepbrothers, Micheal Kritzer and Mark Kritzer; and her stepsister, Cynthia Kritzer Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rufus Bourque; and her stepfather, Forrest Kritzer.

Antonia “Nunnie” Defaye August

ABBEVILLE — A Celebration of Life for Antonia “Nunnie” Defaye August, 45, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 313 S. Lamar Street., Abbeville, LA. Pastor Walter August, Jr. will officiate the service.
Interment will follow in Graves Family Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at Thursday at 8:00 AM and conclude at 11:00 AM at the church.
Antonia was born on Sunday, March 3, 1974 to her parents, Alvin Levine, Sr. and the late Geraldine August in Lafayette, LA. She attended the schools of Vermilion parish. She worked for many years as a CNA in Abbeville and New Iberia, LA. She had an infectious smile and outgoing personality.
In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her aunt/mother who raised her, Lanie Fusilier; grandparents: Mary Vernis Plowden and Walter August, Sr. Antonia‘s life came to an end unexpectedly on Friday, October 11, 2019 in New Iberia, LA.
Antonia leaves to cherish many precious memories with her children, Alexis August, Alania August, Walter August and Nazarion Perro , all of Abbeville, LA, Alexandria August and Nicholas Perro, Jr., both of New Iberia, LA, Deshawn Perro of Erath, LA and Fabian August of Houston, TX; her father, Alvin (Victoria) Levine, Sr. of Abbeville, LA her uncle/father, who reared her, Clarence (Brenda) Fusilier of Erath, LA; her siblings, Andrea (TJ Darby) Wilson, Angela (Billy) Harrison-Laston, Tommy (Carla) Williams, Jr., Alvine Levine, Jr., and Joshua Levine, Sr., all of Abbeville, LA, Kendra (Kerry Conway) Fusilier of Erath, LA, Tara (Renny) Keal of New Iberia, LA and Crystal Sadler of Delcambre, LA; five grandchildren; her aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

ABBEVILLE — Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Kelly Jude Herandez, 64, who died Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Fr. François Sainte-Marie will officiate the service. He will be cremated and buried at a later date. Pallbearers will be Jason Hernandez, Johnathan Hernandez, Mitchell Vincent, Jimmy Broussard, Tyler Hernandez and Jerome Hernandez.
Beloved husband, brother and caregiver of the family. He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Gaspard Hernandez; mother, Helen Hernandez; three brothers, Philip Hernandez of Abbeville, Jason Hernandez and his fiancée Sandy Cavalier of Abbeville, and Jerome Hernandez and his wife Vickie of Erath; step-son, Mitchell Vincent and his wife Amethyst of Rayne; brother-in-law, Tony Broussard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eldest Hernandez; sister, Marcella Broussard; brother, Derwin Hernandez; and niece, Jayla Broussard.

Krystal Symone Williams becomes Mrs. Justin Paul Rachal

The couple exchanged vows at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice

Krystal Symone Williams and Justin Paul Rachal were united in the sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, Louisiana. The ceremony was officiated by Father Stanly Jawa.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Allen and Mrs. Veronice Williams of Maurice, Louisiana. She is the granddaughter of the late, Randolph and Mary Plowden of Abbeville, La and the late Wilfred Sr. and Emma Lou Williams of Maurice, La. The bride is a 2011 graduate of North Vermilion High School, a 2017 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Dietetics. She is currently employed as a Region 6 Community Resource Coordinator at Central Louisiana Health and Education Center.
The groom is the son of Mr. Victor and Mrs. Shirley Rachal of Pineville, Louisiana. He is the grandson of the late, Steve and Sarah Bordelon of Pineville, La; Rowena and the late, Eugene Rachal also of Pineville, La. The groom is a 2007 graduate of Pineville High School and a 2012 graduate of Nicholls University where he earned a degree in Petroleum Technology. He is currently employed as a Production Operator at Chevron.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory lace trumpet style bridal gown with a sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves, low sheer back and English Net godets throughout the skirt. She accented the look with a cathedral length, handmade veil by Sew Sweet Alterations owner Peggy Esposito. She carried a bouquet of silk anemones, roses and various greenery in soft hues of peach, white and grey.
The bride’s sister, Kortney Williams, attended as Maid of Honor. Her bridesmaids included her cousins, Denette Tyler, Christine Kelly and Catherine Tholborn as well as her friends, Kelsey Ambrose and Laken Murrell.
The groom’s brother, Tyler Rachal, served as the Best Man. Groomsmen included his cousins, Matthew Rachal, David Lemmons, Alfred Luneau and Zac Aldecoa; his friend Derek Sandoval and the bride’s brother, Kolin Williams. Karsen Tyler, the bride’s cousin and son of Kennedy and Denette Tyler served as the ring bearer.
Following the ceremony a formal reception was held at Le Pavilion in Lafayette. After enjoying a honeymoon to Cozumel, Mexico the couple will reside in Pineville, Louisiana
