Vermilion Catholic hangs on to beat Assumption

The Vermilion Catholic Eagles jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings and held on to win 5-4 against Assumption
Assumption would score one run in the third, fourth, and seventh inning to make the game close.
VC only had five hits and committed three errors.
Mikie Bazar had two hits for VC. He hit a double and a triple, plus, he knocked in one run.
The Eagles needed four pitchers to shut down Assumption.
Pitcher Moe Maxile started the game and went four innings. He gave up seven hits and two earned runs for VC.
Other VC players who pitched were RJ Davis, (1 inning), Colby Boudreaux (less than one inning) and Collin Broussard (1 inning) got the save.
The other VC players with hits were Maxile, Andre LeBlanc and Collin Broussard.
