Save America first and the world later

On every airplane before departure, flight attendants share important safety protocols with passengers. For example, “Should an emergency situation occur, you need to put your own oxygen mask on first, before attempting to help those around you.” Of course, this warning is not selfish, but only common sense, for a passenger that has no oxygen cannot help anyone else.
This safety tip should be applied to leaders in all nations, including the United States. Our politicians should deal with the emergency in this country before trying to fix problems in the rest of the world.

Born in 1899 in Vienna during the early stages of socialism in Europe, he studied the theories of the Austrian School of Economics and found Ludwig von Mises devastating critique of socialism published in 1922 to be mesmerizing.

Guest Column: Smart investments and policies can grow Louisiana’s energy industry and economy

Louisiana has always been a leader in energy, and maintaining that distinction and expanding our energy capabilities requires a strategic mix of investments, public-private collaboration, and forward-thinking energy policy. As we continue working to diversify our energy mix and enhance energy production, it’s critical that we support and advance commonsense, pro-growth energy policies that create Louisiana jobs, support local businesses and industries, and grow our entire economy.

Orwell’s 1984 and 2024 American Marxist’s Doublethink

George Orwell’s 1984 is a Totalitarian novel. The word “totalitarian” is a new word that expounds on the word “tyranny”, which is the worst possible form of government that Aristotle defined as “the rule of one person, or of a small group of people, in their own interests and according to their will.” Totalitarian goes further and attempts to control people’s thoughts.
