Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has unveiled a new scheme to facilitate home building and home purchases with hundreds of billions of dollars of subsidies, including a $25,000 first-time homebuyer subsidy, said by the campaign to cost $100 billion to facilitate 1 million first-time home purchases a year over the next four years.
Additionally, Harris wants to expand homebuilder tax credits to facilitate construction of an additional 3 million new units over that time.

What a difference a month makes! In July, President Joe Biden was supposedly committed to his candidacy while recovering from a “bad night” in his first debate against President Donald Trump. Biden blamed his atrocious performance on being “exhausted” and “sick” from extensive international travel.
In a July 8 letter to his fellow Democrats in Congress, Biden wrote, “The debate about me running is over. I’m running. I was voted for by 14 million people in the Democratic primary. Are you trying to take away their voice? We’re done with this.”

Well here they go again. Political extremists who work behind the scenes in both national political parties have dusted off their old playbook by attacking the military record of both vice presidential candidates. Such attacks even have a name. It’s called swift boating.
