At the end of each regular semester, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette recognizes those students named to the President’s List and Dean’s List.
Eligible students must be enrolled full time.
To be included on the Dean’s List, students must earn at 3.5 GPA or better and to be included on the President’s List, students must earn a 3.8 GPA or better.

CROWLEY – At approximately 3:15 p.m. on June 4, 2019, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a two vehicle fatal crash on LA Hwy. 13 near Simon Road in Acadia Parish.
The crash took the life of 93-year-old Ella Hebert of Kaplan.

The Lafitte Drive-In Park, which has been five years in the making, opened for the first time on Saturday and Abbeville Councilman Francis Plaisance said that opening day was a success.
Plaisance reported about 100 cars on Saturday, and close to 100 for Sunday.
“We still have a few things that need to be done to fully enjoy the entire park and we are currently working on that,” Plaisance said. “We are working with Bayou Fencing to separate the small and large dog walking areas right now as well.”
