2018 North Vermilion Homecoming Court

Stevens, Katelyn Cormier, Faith Derouen and Hollie Devoltz. The parade is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m. The Patriots will take on the Patterson Lumberjacks on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. The court presentation will begin at 6:15 and the queen will be crowned at halftime.

Abbeville Police Department helping Pregnancy with Diaper Bag Round up

A Pregnancy Center and Clinic is teaming up with New Life Church, Abbeville Police Station, Mayor Mark Piazza and the Christian Service Center in Abbeville to provide services that are useful for all types of parents, whether you are preparing for a child or already have children.
A Pregnancy Center and Clinic’s website is apcclafayette.org and welcomes everyone to their free services that are now available at the Christian Service Center in Abbeville. All client information will be kept private and confidential.

Darby selected as King of Cattle Festival

Vermilion Parish Police Juror Ronald Darby has been named the King of the Louisiana Cattle Festival.
The festival is set for Oct. 10-14.
Darby has been married to his wife, Gaynell Darby, for more than 35 years. They are the proud parents of seven children, Farmick, Ferric, Christopher, Rodney, Rhonda, Roderick and Redena. The Darbys have 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The 2018 Erath High Homecoming Court was announced at the annual Powder Puff festivities on September 12th. This year's court members are Jennah Detraz, Kiah Duplechain, Chloe Landry, Hannah Granger, Olivia Labit, Camryn Delcambre, Emma Lerette, Camryn Hebert, and Lilli Champagne. The queen will be named and crowned at the Homecoming Game Friday, September 28, 2018. The presentation of the court is September 28, 2018 at 6:15 p.m. and kick off time is 7 p.m.
