Two records fall at Vermilion Parish Track & Field meet

It is not surprising that the newest track event will be where the Vermilion Parish track record falls.
The LHSAA has been running the 4 by 800 meter relays for five years, and in that time, parish teams have gotten faster each year.
Last week at the parish track meet, the boy’s and girls’ records fell in the 4x800 meter relays.
The Kaplan Lady Pirates relay team, made up of all freshmen, shattered the record by 37 seconds.
Liberty Greene, Riley Hebert, Camille Marceaux and Isabella Hargrave ran a 10:27.31. The old record was 10:54.15.
