Harry Lee Broussard

Harry Lee Broussard, better known as Paw, was born on December 10, 1929, in Kaplan, LA, the eldest of seven siblings. Known for his strong work ethic and honesty, Paw dedicated over 60 years to farming rice, soybeans, and crawfish, providing for his community. He was also very involved at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Kaplan, St. John the Baptist in Lyons Point and the Knights of Columbus.

Mary Lee Abshire

KAPLAN — A Funeral Service officiated by Deacon Bryan Istre was held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 14, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan honoring the life of Mary Lee Abshire, 96, who passed away on October 4, 2024 at The Carpenter House. Burial followed at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
A visitation took place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continued Monday from 8 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. A rosary was prayed at 7:00 PM on Sunday.

ERATH — Funeral Services for Mrs. Reba Nerren, 80, were held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Erath on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating. Interment followed at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
Visitation was held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Erath on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 8:15 a.m. until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 11 a.m.

ERATH — Graveside services for Mrs. Cynthia Callahan Turner, 79, will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 10 a.m. with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating.
A resident of Erath, Mrs. Cynthia passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. She enjoyed traveling and shopping, loved animals, and adored doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
